Thanks again to those who shared in our two sold-out world premiere performances. Both received a standing ovation and rave reviews from audience members. We're proud to have been able to present "Fannie Lou" to you, and we're also proud of our concert presentation in October 2014 of selections from the work at Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall. A hopeful Broadway run also remains on the horizon. We'll keep you updated, on this website, about our progress.
Grew up with few opportunities.
Came from a poor, sharecropping family.
Didn't get past the 7th grade.
Hardly the characteristics of a person who would become one of the most influential social activists of the 20th century.
But that is what happened with Fannie Lou Hamer. And that's what the musical "Fannie Lou" is about. For those of you who joined us for the world premiere, thank you. For those of you looking to join us for upcoming performances, keep checking this website for updates. We look forward to seeing you soon.
