As an award-winning violinist and New Yorker, Dan Chen began studying the violin at the age of six. While attending Regis High School on the Upper East Side, he continued his violin studies with Professor Sally Thomas of The Juilliard School until college. While at Brandeis, he became the youngest and only two-time winner of the Brandeis-Wellesley Orchestra Concerto Competition. In addition to music, Dan has worked as a model in the U.S. and Europe for renowned fashion, commercial, and magazine clients such as Banana Republic, Macy's, Uniqlo, Asos, Nike, Sprite, L'Officiel Paris, and Marie Claire. Dan is also founder of Domi Chinrest, which produces memory foam chin and shoulder rests for violin and viola.
